Father, we come together as a community of faith seeking your guidance in our lives. We ask that you continue to bless and nurture the ACTS movement as it continues to flourish. We seek your guidance for members of our core team, retreat teams, past retreatants, and those that are discerning the call to participate in upcoming retreats. May we remain open to your Spirit and continue to live the tenants of the ACTS movement.
Adoration of your presence in our world, to build
Community, to learn more about you through practicing sound
Theology, as we work to spread the gospel through
Service to the people in our parish, communities, and all of the environments that we encounter.
We give thanks and praise for bringing the ACTS movement to us and for allowing it to continue to grow in the Catholic Community of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton.
"I can do all things through HIM who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13
ACTS is inspired by the ACTS of the Apostles 2:42-47.
"They devoted themselves to the teachings of the apostles and to the communal life, to the breaking of bread and to prayers. Awe came upon everyone and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. All who believed were together and had all things in common. They would sell their property and possessions and divide them among all ac-cording to each one’s need. Every day they devoted themselves to meet-ing together in the temple area and to breaking bread in their homes. They ate their meals in exultation and sincerity of heart, praising God and enjoying favor with all the people. And, every day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved."
