Advisory Councils

The Parish Pastoral Council invites your input concerning matters relative to our parish. All emails will be reviewed at the monthly PPC meetings. If you have personal or sacramental needs, please contact the Parish Office or staff.

Saint Elizabeth is a large parish with a lot going on.  We have long practiced the philosophy of shared wisdom in governing our parish.  To this goal, the pastor is advised by two groups made up of parishioners: 

• The Parish Pastoral Council (PPC)
• The Finance Advisory Council (FAC)

Each group meets on a monthly basis.  If you are interested in serving on one of these advisory boards, please contact the group leader or parish office for information.

The Parish Pastoral Council works to establish broad goals and policies for the parish family, in cooperation with the priests, ministry directors, and lay commissioners. This task requires the input from members of the parish community.

The purpose of the Parish Pastoral Council is as follows:

• Consultative body to the Pastor
• Discerns issues that impact the lives of parishioners
• Prays, studies, and discusses those issues
• Recommends practical ways of addressing them
• Shares responsibility with the Pastor for building up the faith community

The PPC meets on the second Thursday of most months, at 7:00 pm, in the Seton Room of the Parish Activity Center. 
All parishioners are welcome to attend the PPC Meetings.

The Finance Advisory Council of the parish is the consultative group which assists the pastor in carrying out the common burden of the material administration of the parish. It has the obligation of planning and supervising the financial affairs and physical properties of the parish. The Finance Advisory Council is concerned with parish resources, the budget, church support, and the effective utilization and maintenance of the parish plant.

The Finance Council meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 5:30 pm, in the Conference Room in the Parish Office.
